Working Antique RCA Radiola 17 Wooden Cased Vacuum Tube Radio
Please read description in full.
The radio is working but a couple of things need to be noted.
I have tested the vacuum tubes that were in it when I got this item. They are not the original tubes, as I think they were all Globe type tubes that were supplied when it was new.
I have pictured it powered up, You can see the vacuum tubes lit in one picture, and the main power lamp lit in the others.
I have replaced the antenna wire. This wire you will need to put to an external Antenna to get any reception. ( I have labeled the ground on this wire )
I tested it using a HiFi speaker.... Though very quiet, I did pick up a signal and was listening to it for over 2 hours with no problems ( other than it being quiet).    This was the only radio station I could pick up. With living where I do, we get very little on the AM band anyway.
The little red cover, covering the lamp that lights up , requires a backing nut......( It is currently just placed over the bulb )

For Shipping, the vacuum tubes will be removed and will label them where they all go on the tubes and pack them separately.  The item will be double boxed and well padded for shipping. If you can I do prefer you pick up the item, or if you live in AZ or NV I will Deliver for 50Cents a mile round trip.  I highly advise you pick it up as it is heavy. No matter how well I pack something, one drop from Fed ex will hurt the cabinet.  So by choosing to have it shipped to you, you do take responsibility if it gets damaged. I will not take returns because it got damaged in shipping.
As with all Antique equipment , they require servicing... I am supplying this with the original service manual.
No returns are accepted on this item as it is getting to be nearly 100 years old.
